“Feeling Photography” was a workshop on affect, photography, and transmedia, held in tribute to the book Feeling Photography, ed. Elspeth Brown and Thy Phu (Duke 2014), and in conjunction with two exhibitions of speculative landscapes by the Los Angeles artist Connie Samaras. Workshop contributors included scholars in visual studies and art practitioners with a commitment to historicizing legacies of practice and public sentiment; feminist and queer politics; and political affect in and around the medium of photography. Participants included Shawn Michelle Smith, Elspeth Brown, Kamala Visweswaran, Ken Gonzales-Day, Connie Samaras, Anna Joy Springer, David Serlin, and Kelli Moore.
