Junior Faculty Lecture Circuit

Campus humanities centers piloted a UC Junior Faculty Lecture Circuit to allow northern and southern UC campuses to exchange junior faculty in the humanities and humanistic social sciences to give a formal presentation on their research at another UC campus. The exchange presents a professional development opportunity for junior faculty who may not (yet) be seasoned presenters. Similar to the objectives of the UCHRI Junior Faculty Manuscript Workshop, the UC Junior Faculty Lecture Circuit allows participants to receive feedback and tips on presentation style and content. At the same time, the exchange provides more cross-pollination of research interests as it builds a stronger, more connected network of new, energetic junior faculty across the UC system.
