A Visit by Luiz Eduardo Soares

Luiz Eduardo Soares, Professor of the Department of Social Sciences, State University of Rio de Janeiro and the Municipal Secretary of Violence Prevention in Nova Iguacu, State of Rio de Janeiro, presented two talks: “Writing and Governing in Rio de Janeiro” and “Writing Elite da Tropa.” This UCI Center for Ethnography event was co-sponsored by UCHRI, the UCI Department of Anthropology, and the UCI Center in Law, Society and Culture.
