Studio-Sessions: Achille Mbembe

Achille Mbembe presented his lecture “Humanism in an Age of Terror: Reflections from South Africa.” Mbembe is a Visiting Professor in Comparative Literature and the Critical Theory Emphasis, UC Irvine. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) and Research Professor in the department of History at the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He is the author of On The Postcolony (University of California Press, 2001) and many other works.
