Alice Giovanna Terriquez is a UC Irvine, 2017 Alumni and Interdisciplinary Artist. During her undergraduate career she was a UROP Fellow and interned in Barcelona, Spain under the Catalonian government. Here she took an experimental research approach on preventive programs aimed at addressing gender violence alongside a team of psychologists and social workers. She presented her research at the UCI Research Symposium 2017 and UCI Mental Health Conference in 2018. She has also worked with Dr. Rosas and her colleagues in the creation of humane narratives of first-generation college students inside immigrant communities. This project was titled Puertas y Ventanas, and was presented at UC Irvine and at Imagining America National Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Alice continues to create art through poetry, photography and digital art in her home studio in Port Hueneme, CA.
