Ameeth Vijay

Ameeth Vijay is Assistant Professor in the department of literature at UC San Diego. His current book project, Topothesia: Planning, Colonialism, and Places in Excess, reads urban planning as a mode of speculative fiction. It considers the infrastructure of colonial relations as intimately involving both material practices and narrative imaginaries.

Abstract, color-altered image of ancient cliff dwellings built into a rock face. The structures have rectangular openings and are surrounded by rough, textured stone in pink, purple, and orange hues.
