Fabiola Ferrero

Fabiola Ferrero is a journalist and photographer born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1991 and currently based in Colombia. Her personal work is the result of how her childhood memories contrast with present-day Venezuela, her home country. Looking to portray her country’s crisis beyond the news, emotions are a key element in her storytelling. Interested in bringing opportunities to other newcomer photographers in the region, Fabiola founded Semillero Migrante, a photography mentorship program around migration. Her documentary project, I Can’t Hear the Birds, was awarded the World Press Photo 2023 in the Long Term Project category South American region. Learn more about her work at fabiolaferrero.com.
