Janet Walker is Professor of Film and Media Studies at UC Santa Barbara where she researches and teaches documentary, trauma and memory, and intersections of media, place, and justice. Her most recent book is Sustainable Media: Critical Approaches to Media and Environment (Routledge 2016, co-edited with Nicole Starosielski). Walker is a founding editor of the open access journal Media+Environment.
