Jeremy A. Rud

Jeremy A. Rud earned a PhD in linguistics from UC Davis in 2024. His research broadly examines language in contexts of migration at intersections of public policy, narrative performance, and speech perception. In partnership with community organizations, he uses ethnographic discourse analysis to understand how minute facets of linguistic interactions affect the actualization of migrants’ human rights as they seek asylum in the US.
