Nirvana Shahriar is a PhD student in English at UC Santa Barbara. Her dissertation explores representations of home and belonging in contemporary literatures of exile. She is currently a Research Assistant for the Creative Critical Writing Center in her department, as well as an Editorial Assistant for the journal Camera Obscura: Feminism, Culture, and Media Studies.
