Salvador Zárate

Salvador Zárate is Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at UC Irvine. His book manuscript is The Social Life of Plants: Black and Latina Reproductive Laborers in the U.S. Sunbelt, 1921-1963; he also writes on Orange County’s residential gardening economy, in which he worked since childhood.
