Sammy Solis is a writer and academic from Frederick, Maryland, who earned their PhD in English from UC Los Angeles. In their current role as a TA Training Program Analyst for the UC Los Angeles Teaching and Learning Center, they support graduate student and postdoctoral scholar engagement through programming and workshop development. Their dissertation, Contested Bodies: Fictions of Brownness and Latinidad, centers on US ethnic literature and studies, Latinx literary theory, and queer performance studies.
